This project is the result of a collaboration with Moiré, in partnership with Obra Cultural Balear and Institut d’Estudis Baleàrics. The outcome is a two-part educational guide, one for students and one for teachers, focused on the poetic work of Joan Alcover, a central figure of the Escola Mallorquina literary movement.

The voice of a poet

The typographic composition transforms Alcover’s poems into fluid graphic structures. Verses move across the page like topography, flowing, expanding, contracting, echoing the natural rhythm of the text. The result is a reading experience that is both poetic and spatial.

Texture as a concept

Textures from the Mallorcan landscape turned into book pages.

The design is anchored in the Mallorcan landscapes that inspired Alcover’s verses. Photographs taken in the Serra de Tramuntana serve as visual textures throughout the publication, capturing the subtle light, rough bark, and soft movement of the wind through the trees. These elements become the quiet visual voice of the guide.
